Atsushi Kono Bio

Chef Atsushi Kono grew up in Saitama, Japan, where he began cooking in his parent’s restaurant and fish store. He attributes that experience as one of his main influences in becoming a chef.¬†Chef Kono began working at his restaurant, Tori Shin, in 2007. As a managing Chef, he helped bring the Yakitori eatery into the spotlight, receiving a Michelin star in both 2012 and 2013.
